Garr is observant and appears to trust his senses. While the other students focus on Amira's lack of magical force, Garr suspects that she is concealing an unusual form of strength.[1]
Abilities
Garr possesses a highly developed sense of smell. During Candle Tipping, he detects that Amira carries the scent or presence of a powerful beast despite having no measurable magical force.[2]
Garr participates in the students' magical assault during Candle Tipping, though the full nature of his personal magic has not yet been explained.
Plot
Garr was introduced as one of the students attending Amira's first class at the Kisaro Academy of Sorcery.[3]
He later participated in Candle Tipping, an exercise in which the students attempted to knock over a candle protected by Amira. While observing her movements, Garr realized that Amira possessed a dangerous physical presence that could not be detected through ordinary magical perception.[4]
After Amira successfully protected the candle, Garr and the other students apologized for underestimating her and accepted her as their teacher.[5]
