Dark Elf With Fading Powers Wiki

Tierlith a deuteragonist in The Journey of a Dark Elf with Fading Powers manga series. She is also the Chancellor of the Kisaro Academy of Sorcery. She is a high grade mage known as the World Healer and the Sorcerer of Blessings. Despite respecting Lilicena's recommendation, she personally tests Amira to decide whether she is fit to teach at the academy.[1][2][3]

Appearance

Tierlith is an angel & has light skin, short light colored hair, large wings and a ring shaped halo above her head. Her wings are not directly connected to her body, which immediately catches Amira's attention when they first meet.[4]

She wears a white, formal outfit with black gloves, a cape like garment and decorative markings. She also carries a staff and later uses a pair of Exquisite class staffs named Wishes and Emotions.[5][6]

Personality

Tierlith is polite, cheerful and playful when speaking to others. She greets Amira warmly and is amused when Amira becomes fascinated by her angel like appearance.[7] Despite her friendly attitude, Tierlith is serious about her duties as Chancellor. She believes her most important responsibility is protecting the academy's students. Because of this, she refuses to approve Amira as a teacher based only on Lilicena's recommendation and chooses to judge Amira herself.[8][9] Tierlith can be sharp and unpredictable. She suddenly attacks Amira during their picnic in order to test her, then explains that she does not doubt Amira's strength or knowledge. What she wants to understand is what lies at Amira's core.[10] She is also compassionate and deeply values life. During the Bird of Embers incident, Tierlith struggles with the decision to have the creature killed because she cannot weigh its life against the safety of her students. After the danger passes, she uses her healing magic to restore the damaged mountain and its ecosystem.[11][12]

Relationships

Amira

Tierlith first meets Amira while evaluating whether she is suitable to teach at the Kisaro Academy. Although she knows Amira as the former Omnipotent Caster and respects her abilities, she wants to see Amira's true nature before accepting her.[13]

Lilicena

Lilicena works under Tierlith as a professor at the Kisaro Academy. She recommends Amira for a teaching position and introduces her to Tierlith. Tierlith respects Lilicena's judgment, but still chooses to personally evaluate Amira.[14][15]

Kisaro Academy students

Tierlith is protective of the academy's students. She worries that a figure as legendary as Amira could cause young and immature students to worship her instead of learning from her. This concern is one of the main reasons Tierlith chooses to evaluate Amira personally.[16]

Plot

Tierlith is first shown in the Chancellor's tower, discussing Amira with her aide. Although Amira has no magic, Tierlith considers her a legendary figure because of what she can do without it. Still, she refuses to accept Lilicena's recommendation alone and decides to meet Amira herself.[17] Tierlith later introduces herself to Amira as the Chancellor of the Kisaro Academy. Amira is immediately fascinated by her appearance and asks whether she is an angel. Tierlith teases her for being a dark elf who supposedly knows everything but is meeting an angel for the first time.[18] During their picnic, Tierlith examines the staff Amira made and praises it as impressive for a first attempt. Soon after, she suddenly attacks Amira in order to test her. She explains that while she does not doubt Amira's strength or knowledge, she still wants to see what lies at Amira's core.[19] Their confrontation is interrupted when the Bird of Embers crashes near the academy and causes a dangerous wildfire. Tierlith travels with Lilicena, Amira and Zorvan to investigate. When Zorvan reports that the fire threatens both a nearby town and the academy, Tierlith reluctantly gives him permission to kill the creature in order to protect the students.[20] After Amira removes the Cureless Silverpoint from the Bird of Embers and sends it back into the sky, Tierlith turns to restoring the ruined land. She summons her two staffs, Wishes and Emotions, and uses healing sorcery that can affect the earth, wind and water. Her magic restores the devastated mountain, earning Amira's admiration.[21] Later, the academy students reveal that the Bird of Embers left behind a natural steam bath by heating the groundwater. Tierlith relaxes there with Amira and tells her that they can now take their time talking. She says this will serve as Amira's final job interview.[22]
